I did the score editing and music preparation for Stewart Copeland’s opera The Tell Tale Heart, which is now published by G. Schirmer and playing at the Royal Opera of London for the coming week. The first couple of reviews are out, and it’s being received very well.
A Murderously Good Evening from Opera Critic.com“Copeland, founder and ex-drummer of The Police, provides a score true to himself, jazzy, swingy, with maybe a nod to Stravinsky at times, and with some distinctive writing for percussion. It’s good!”
Opera Shots from Mark Ronan’s Theatre Reviews“It’s terrific — the music, the conception, the staging, everything works together to give a riveting and intense experience.”
