Bugbaby, a horror comedy for which I was the film composer, has been a Halloween favorite two years in a row. It has won multiple awards, played at more than 30 festivals, and continues to get more screenings. It will screen at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival on Oct 14th and at the PollyGrind Underground Film Festival on Oct 20. You …
Bugbaby has two screenings this weekend. The first is tonight at the SoCal Independent Film Festival, just a little outside of Los Angeles. The second is tomorrow in Chicago at the Columbia Alumni Short Film Showcase.
Bugbaby, the horror short that I scored in the summer of 2010, is turning out to be the little film that could. It continues to get festival screenings and attention, most recently tonight at the Hollywood Fringe Festival here in Los Angeles.
Dan Spurgeon, the writer of Bugbaby which I scored last year, has a nice feature in Disarray Magazine in which he is interviewed about the film. It has played in about 15 festivals so far and we expect another good run this Halloween. Bugbaby was produced by The Visceral Company.
Our film Bugbaby, with Mink Stole as the lead and myself as composer, has been featured by the local PBS in San Diego and will be playing this Saturday, Feb 11, at the Horrible Imaginings Film Festival. I think this is festival #20 for Bugbaby, the little film that could!
At the New Orleans Horror Film Festival our film Bugbaby has won another award, this time for Audience Choice. It has been a good year for Bugbaby, and there is consistent buzz about my film score music everywhere it’s played. The film was written by Dan Spurgeon, directed byRebecca Lorenne Doppelt, and produced by The Visceral Company. Here are the festivals …
Rebecca Lorenne Doppelt’s film Bugbaby (with my film score) has been accepted to four more film festivals, three of them in one day! They are the Atlanta Horror Film Festial (September), the Atlanta Shorts Fest (September), the Maryland International Film Festival (October), and the Williamsburg, Brooklyn Independent Film Festival (November).
Rebecca Doppelt’s film Bugbaby which I scored won Best Horror Short at the Phoenix Film Festival! The film was very well received and my music got a lot of mention during the forums afterwards.
The film score for Bugbaby is done! It’s a wacky, crazy, Tim Burton style horror score starring the legendary actress Mink Stole. The film was directed by Rebecca Doppelt, and it’s a beautiful example of camp and kitsch. It’s going to the dub stage in San Francisco tomorrow for the final mix.
